Hello,
I have a question on the EVM430-FR6047. Ist it possible to test the pulse counter on this Board? if yes which pin can i use to test it?
purpose of the test: i have an external count, where i want to measure the number of pulses in a given time, and compare with the volume of the reference, to see how robust is this MCU.
thank you for your support

Hi Pierre,
Could you please see section 23.2.4 of the device family users guide and let me know if this is what you are looking for?
Hey Dylan,
thank you for response. yeah that is what i'm looking for. but this counts the current consumption. is it possible to change to volume instead of current consumption? is there in code in demoboard that i look at? just like in MSP430FR6047EVM_USS_Water_Demo. is there any pin on EVM430FR6047 to read the pulse from external counter? if not may be you can give me the communication Protocal of EVM430FR6047 so that i can read the counter?
thank you
Hi Pierre,
You mean that you want the MTIF pulses to represent the volume flow rate instead of current consumption? Looking at the datasheet, it does sound like we can do this. However I am not seeing how this is done. I will consult my colleague and update this thread when I hear back from them.
The pins to connect to in order to read the MTIF interface are the MTIF_OUT_IN pins and MTIF_PIN_EN.
