MSP430FR2311: UART to I²C Bridge and a Port Expander firmware

Hi TI Team,
I am working on a project in which I would like to use a MSP430FR2311 microcontroller, that acts as a UART to I²C Bridge and as Port Expander at the same time.

I found many examples of firmware ready to use it. One of these examples is used as a UARTto I²C Bridge, but there is no possibility to control an external gpio. I would like to be able to control GPIO by sending commands through the UART writed to the internal registers of the MSP430. Do you have firmware in which these two functions are implemented?

Hi Piotr,

So you are looking for a GPIO expander example where you send commands over UART to write/read to the GPIO ports, correct? You don't need the I2C bridge, correct?

I don't believe there is example code to do what you are asking. I can reach out to the engineer that wrote the UART-to-I2C Bridge Using Low-Memory MSP430Tm MCUs application note to see if he has something like what you need but not published.
