MSP430FR6989 debug code: Error initializing emulator

Whenever I try to debug the code to the MSP430FR6989, Code Composer Studio throws "Error initializing emulator: One of the connected MSP-FETs/eZ-FETs debuggers needs recovery. Select 'Recover' to start the recovery process. Note: Only one MSP-FET/eZ-FET debugger can be connected to your system during recovery." However when I press the recover button, it says "MSP430: Error: MSP-FET / eZ-FET recovery failed."

    Hello Bryce,

    You can try to check your device and IDE according to the following suggestions,

    1). Check the device manager of your computer whether the MSP-FET is recognized and connected;

    2). Check if multiple MSP-FET are connected to the computer;

    3). Check if the connection of the MSP-FET is correct;

    4), If all configuration is correct, you can try to do "factory reset" through CCS and then try to go into the debug mode again.
