MCU Push-Pull IO

Hi Ti Team,

What will happen if I connect a Pull-up resistor 10K on the Push-Pull Output I/O line? will it harm the GPIO Port/Block or the connected I/O Line?

Jebin

  • Hi,

with a 10k Ohm resistor at 3.3V the current is 330uA when the gpio is set to low=0V. This will not damage the MCU. In the Datasheet under Digital IO - Outputs you can see that they specify up to 6mA, later they show a graph up to 15mA.... so everything is totally fine.

    Best wishes

    Tobias
