MSP430FR4133: IR TRANSCEIVER DEVELOPMENT WITH BOOST-IR — Infrared (IR) BoosterPack Plug-in Module

Part Number: MSP430FR4133
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BOOST-IR

Hello TI Team,

We are working on new project based on IR Transceiver. So we want to start devolvement for POC.

We have found below BOOST-IR -Infrared (IR) BoosterPack Plug-in Module on TI website.

1. Kindly suggest MSP430FR Controller based EVK to start integration with BOOST IR Plug in module.

2. After POC with MCU MSP430FR we Need to implement this IR Transceiver functionality with AM6254 Processor so kindly confirm and share your feedback on IR receiver support with AM6254.

3. We have also checked that MSP430 IRDA also used for IR TRANSCEIVER so please clarify what is difference between IR Transceiver development with  MSP430FR & MSP430C112? Provide more details.

  • If you just want to evaluate the BOOST-IR, you can use FR4133 that have the demo code for it.

For AM6254 you may need to create a new thread for it.

Recommend to use MSPM0 to create new design, you can also look at the similar design for the PIR

  • If you just want to evaluate the BOOST-IR, you can use FR4133 that have the demo code for it.

    >>> Please provide EVK part number based on FR4133 to evaluate with BOOST-IR

We have also checked that MSP430 IRDA also used for IR TRANSCEIVER so please clarify what is difference between IR Transceiver development with  MSP430FR & MSP430C112? Provide more details.

    >>> I want add one thing, Our application is IR Remote controller based so according to that please clarify what is difference between IR Transceiver development with MSP430FR & MSP430C112? Provide more details. We have checked that IRDA support in MSP430C112.

  • Please provide EVK part number based on FR4133 to evaluate with BOOST-IR

    You can use MSP-EXP430FR4133

    MSP430C112

Not recommend to create new design with such old device, if the FRAM is no must to use, I recommend to use MSPM0 devices.
