We have been using the MSP430F5529 for several years on our devices.
For the past year we started to get occasional "Unknown USB Device (Device descriptor Request failed)” for our MSP430 controller.
It happens also with the evaluation kit.
It happens regardless to what FW is running.
There are 2 types:
- During operation when the Laptop/PC is left idle for a while.
- During system startup.
The only solution is to power down the MSP430 and connect it again, but that is not desired on our machines - we need a stable USB communication.
Any suggestions how to diagnose and resolve?
