I have a customer trying to use SLAA760 as a reference for their Linux implementation of an MSP430 BSL programmer. I just wanted to point out that the BSL protocol here only works for the 2/4 series MSP430's and not the 5/6.
They use a totally different packet format and they do not use a sync packet to start the BSL interaction.
However, it's not immediately clear that this is the case.
We need to be much clearer on which series of MSP430 this application note is targeted towards, or we need to also have a 5/6 series implementation.
