Dear ti- E2E community members/experts,

Does MSP-EXP430G2XX launch pad require any external power supply? If yes, what is power limitation?

Hi!

Well i think it doesn´t require any other power supply than the usb. I mean, you just connect the launchpad board with the usb cable and then you have it powered.

It also, can be powered externally through other pins. But you just need to connect it with the computer through usb cable and that´s all.

Some cell phone chargers that use USB connector (not real USB, just connector) to provide 5VDC can also be used to power LaunchPad.

And using USB power you MUST leave the jumper J3.VCC installed.

Otherwise remove the J3.VCC jumper and supply external power, 1.8 V to 3.6 V, to the jumpers J6.VCC (+) and J6.GND (-).

Hey! thanks! yes i discovered launchpad a few months ago and since then i haven´t stopped playing with them! so as you said we probably will talk again about this awesome things!
