MSP430F2013: Thermocouple measure on internal SD16 ADC

This document shows the various equations for the various thermocouples. You should do all this in double floating point. Basically, you take the voltage generated by the thermocouple and apply the formula to get the temperature in C.

Thank you for replying my issue Keith Barkley. My question is mainly how i can be sure that MSP430f2013 is enough to measue Type B thermocouple as a hardware or software. That is question what i am asking act. 

Putting aside the actual measurement and cold-junction considerations, any MSP is perfectly capable of performing these calculations. It might not be particularly *fast* but it is snappy enough for most applications.

It isn't hard but you do need to know what range of temperatures are of interest and what resolution and accuracy you require.

The internal amplifier of the SD16 would be fine for a quick and dirty system.

Don't forget cold junction compensation.
