Hi,

I am using IDE version and Compiler version below

IDE version	Code Composer Studio 10.1.1.00004
Compiler version	TI V20.2.1.LTS

I saw in the description related to linker-error.

In my project after compile there are no linker errors. Does that mean there's no problem (for bug CODEGEN-8640 )?

The only way we have ever seen this problem show itself is by a failure when linking. That said, it is theoretically possible for the problem to show itself other ways. To be certain you don't have this problem, you have to check whether your code performs a increment or decrement of a volatile bit field.

Is adding the "volatile" keyword to the variable (that utilize bit field) also fix this problem?

No. It's the opposite. For the problem to occur, one of the required conditions is the presence of a volatile bit field. If the code has no volatile bit fields, then it cannot be affected by this problem.
