MSP430FR2476: MSP430FR2476_内部クロック波形

Part Number: MSP430FR2476

To measure the internal clock,
I set it to output MCLK from pin 15 (P1.3).
The frequency is 4[MHz].

I actually measured it with an oscilloscope.
As shown in the attached figure, the waveform resembles a "sin wave".
I thought that a beautiful square wave would be output, but
Will the waveform of the internal clock be as shown in the attached diagram?
If this is the case, please let me know if there is a reason why it does not output a beautiful square wave.

  • The above is measured with the probe setting "1:1".
The waveform below has a probe setting of "10:1".
    There is some noise,
Isn't the microcontroller's internal clock output a beautiful square wave?

  • Hi,

Here is the only spec I can find in datasheet.

Isn't the microcontroller's internal clock output a beautiful square wave?

It should be a beautiful square wave, because the raising and falling time is 10ns, far less that it's cycle 250ns (4MHz).

But this waveform also related to GPIO output and measure equipment's input characteristic, such as input cap and resistor.

If it does not affect your functions, the current waveform is OK. And the noise is acceptable.

    BR,

    Helic
