MSP430FR6047: Maximum Frequency to drive an USS and PWM

What is the maximum frequency that MSP430FR6047 can generate using the 16MHz crystal? I know it can go a bit above 1 MHz, but I am wondering if it can go up to 8 MHz? For frequencies higher than 8 MHz shall I use DCO?

    Hi Aiden,

    For the timer operation, when you want to output higher frequency, which means that you will get lower accuracy of the PWM adjustment.

    According to datasheet:

    Yes you can set a timer to output 8MHz PWM with the clock 16MHz from SMCLK/ACLK, then the output PWM can be only set as 0%/50%/100% duty cycle.

    As for USS module, it can use external 4MHz or 8MHz OSC:
