MSP-EXP430G2ET: Cannot get communication with IO-EXPANDER-EVM

Hello,

I am currently trying to setup my MSP-EXP430G2ET EVM that I just  recently got, with the IO-EXPANDER-EVM. I was following the instructions on how to get them to interact and after having set the jumpers on the MSP to what I believe is the right orientation I tried to run the IO Expander Flash where I received the following error:

As for the jumpers I had altered on the MSP430 it was the RXD and TXD of P1.3 and the P1.6 J7 jumper.

I had also flashed the MSP430 with the latest firmware.

    Hi KJ,

    Sorry for the delayed response. Based on the error you show from the MSPFlasher, it appears when you have the IO-EXPANDER EVM connected to the MSP430G2ET, it is affecting the VDD.  Are you sure you have it connected correctly?  Can you take a photo of boards connected?
