Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2500
Hi, I am designing my own custom pcb board design based on the ez430-RF2500. I have a few questions regarding the parts list.
1. The parts list found on TI's website contains a excel file which has the parts list ( related to what is on the schematic) and another sheet inside that excel file which is called orderables. There is a discrepancy in the inductor values. The parts list has 4n7 H for the balun inductors and the orderables has 4nH and they have 3.9nH. I am not sure which one is right or which one is on the actual ez430-rf2500.
2. Will the inductor value difference effect the RF preformance specificly with MSK modulation. As I built my design using the 3.9nH and I can see the boards are transmitting on my spectrum analyser. They however are not communicating with each other or with a control ez430-RF2500 board. I am not sure if the inductor value difference is introducing phase mismatch and causing the modulation/demodulation to screw up when receiving/ sending a packet.
3. The CC2500 reference design also has different values for their inductors as well. Is there any reason for this.
4. Is there any documentation that describes the Balun circuit calculations in more detail for our specific Transciever.
Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Kyle
