EVM430-FR6047: EVM430-FR6047 PC connect issue

Hi,

I use the EVM430-FR6047 connenct to the PC, but it shows there are two port connected(show below), the location info is the same. I have trasfer to another PC, still two ports.

In this situaiton, I use the UNIFLASH and CCS, it work normal, can download the codes, but when I connect to the USS, it can't be connected and show the notice(see below).

Another info is I have put the EVM430-FR6047 connected to the USB docking station. Before that, I was connect the PC directly and the USS was working well.

Now, what should I do?

Hi Tianlin,

Are you saying that originally the device worked when you weren't using a docking station, but now that you have connected to a docking station it is giving you that error?

Are you able to stop connecting via the docking station? I do not know how your specific docking station works but it sounds like that is causing the problem.

A: Yes, Originally I connect the EVM board directly to the PC it works. After I connected to the docking station, USS GUI can't be connected and give out the "More that one HID devices with the same VID/PID detected. Only one device may be connected."

Q:Are you able to stop connecting via the docking station? I do not know how your specific docking station works but it sounds like that is causing the problem.

A: Now it is connected to the PC directly, but the issue still exist.

I have checked TI E2E online, below links has the same problem:

Both links mentioned change to another PC.I have tried and install the USS, it works. ( Before, I was confused why the EVM showed two ports in PC and connected to another PC, I just check the ports).

For the original PC, still have connect issue with USS (CSS and UNIFLASH is OK). Above links also do not fix the issue. Any other advise?

I followed the Error info "More that one HID devices with the same VID/PID detected. Only one device may be connected." Some forums show that it can though the PC regedit.exe to delect the USB record to make the device as a new one. I have snip the hardware ID of the COM4/COM5(EVM board). The USB record which related to the same ID(VID_2047) also showed in below.

My question is if it is a solution to dill with the USS GUI connect issue? Should I delect all the VID_2047 in PC regidit?

I am not experienced with this resolution but the proposal makes sense. You could try detecting one in particular to experiment, but honestly I am not sure how much this will help, if at all. If the issue lies within your PC then this is a bit out of my scope and you may have to try a few things to see if you can get connected again.

Yes,I have tried, it works. I think it may a solution can be shared to another person who face to the same issue.
