Hi Team,
customer is working on a power sensitive application.
They realized that when having the timer on they cannot access the lowest power consumption mode.
Is there any way around this? Any insight is much appreciated.
BR,
Stefan
A timer needs a clock source so you can't turn off all of the clocks. Which leaves LPM3, with ACLK on, as the lowest power mode available.
Hey Stefan,
How low are they trying to go? How high of a resolution timer do they need?
David is correct that for the timer module to run the lowest power mode is LPM3. Timer_A is also much lower power than Timer_D.
Ultimately, the lowest power timer is an RTC, but there doesn't appear to be one on this exact device.
Thanks,
JD
