MSP430FR2155: Usage of RST/NMI pin as a NMI pin taking interrupts from a switch

Part Number: MSP430FR2155
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP-FET,

Tool/software:

Hello TI experts!

I am working with MSP430FR2155 and right now we are trying to flash the firmware onto a custom designed board. We are doing this with the help of MSP-FET and CCS software.

May I know how to flash a chip that is not in the MSP-Launchpad form??

  • Get a LaunchPad and hook up the SBW pins to the new chip.

Remove the jumpers at the arrow and connect it to your new board.

To answer the question in the OP, Don't! any NMI input should be thoroughly debounced and not come from a switch.

  • Hello Keith, Thanks for your response!

Get a LaunchPad and hook up the SBW pins to the new chip.

Okay Keith, will try that out.

To answer the question in the OP, Don't! any NMI input should be thoroughly debounced and not come from a switch.

Yes, we have decided to change the pin. Thank you for your help :)
