Hi team,

We are planning to use the MSP430F5658IPZ microcontroller in one of our designs. We intend to utilize the USB2.0 interface present in the MSP430F5658IPZ to connect directly with the processor(For chip to chip interface), rather than using a connector. Could you please provide recommendations for the chip-to-chip USB2.0 interface layout, including trace length, spacing, etc.?

Thanks for the response.

As attached below we are interfaced MCP430 with AMD chip using USB2.0 interface. we required layout constraints/ recommendation for the USB2.0 signals like trace length maximum, impedance, spacing., etc? Since we can see lot of guidelines from TI for USB2.0 interface chip to USB connector but not chip to chip in google. Please check and provide the inputs.

As Li already mention, in open hardware TI 5529 LP you can see on schematic / PCB / layout, how 5528 (FET) and 5529 (target device) are connected to TI USB HUB chip. All 3 IC's are on one PCB, and HUB is connected by USB connector / cable to USB master (PC).
