MSP430FR6047: Implementing remote update firmware on MSP430FR6047

Part Number: MSP430FR6047

Tool/software:

Dear Engineers,

I'm using MSP430FR6047 to design an ultra low power circuit for measuring water flow. In our application we need to implement also a remote update firmware for the device.

Would you please let me know if this MCU can be used for remote update firmware? from the memory stand-point? is there any limitation regarding the memory size? is there any consideration that I should take into account?

We are spending a lot of time for our prototypes, so we wan to make sure that this is feasible to implement remote update firmware as well, then considering this chip for mass production.

Regards

  • Hi Behnam Madadnia

MSP430FR6047 device has the rom based BSL to support program updating through UART, I2C and so on.

Please refer to the MSP430 Programming Via the Bootstrap Loader (BSL) (SLAU319)

    Thanks!
