MSP430F149: Build issue of older project with the new IAR IDE (MSP430 8.10.3)

Part Number: MSP430F149

Tool/software:

1) Installed IAR IDE (8.10.3)

2) Imported existing project

3) Triggered Rebuild All

4) Got build error as follows

Fatal Error[e057]: No known CPU specified. The CPU needs to be specified with the -c option. The following processor names are recognized:

5) Here is the device selection based on existing project. Whether this chipset no more available?? If yes how to build this project?

Hi,

I am using IAR for 430 v7.21.1. I can create a new project and change the option for MSP430F149 device and build successfully.

Hi,

Thanks for the response. Yes, I too have succeeded of compiling my project with the version 7.21.1. But now I installed this latest IDE (8.10.3) in my new machine. So, facing this issue. If you have fix on this latest version, then that would be great. Otherwise, how can I get the older versions of MSP 430 IDE? In my case 7.21.1. I just directly got the download link of the version 8.10.3 in mail

Hi,

Why not use CCS as the IDE. It is TI's official IDE and it's for free.
