MSP430FR5738: MSP-TS430RHA40A compatible for MSP430FR5738IRGER?

Hello Experts,

We would like to confirm if MSP-TS430RHA40A is really compatible with MSP430FR5738IRGER as seen on this dev't target board supported devices:

Listed there the MSP430FR5738 but this device has up to 24 surface-mount pins only. Is this an error? If it is, does the MSP-TS430RGE24A supports MSP430FR5738IRGER chip?

    Hi Archie,

    No.  The MSP-TS430RHA40A supports only those members of the FR57xx family in 40pin (RHA) VQFN packages.

    No.  As you can see, pin outs are different.

    Just to confirm, there is no development board for MSP430FR5738. Correct? If there is some existing board that is compatible, can you recommend please?

    Hi Archie,

    That is correct.  Although the hardware tools guide shows it supports the FR5738, it does only in 40pin RGE package.

    There is nothing specifically available from TI.  The closest thing would be the TS430RGE24 TSB and you would have to modify it to match the pinout on your FR5738.
