MSP430F5529: I am looking for a microcontroller that can convert USB serial (UART) and use USB HID.

There is also a "housekeeping" example for a USB to UART bridge.

I would like to use the following USB combined device (Conposites device) functionality.
I found a sample of Conposites HID&CDC in the MSP430 USB library.

Is it possible to use this function in MSP430F5x series?
Also, are there any newer series of MCUs that offer similar samples?

This USB API Stack is written for MSP430F5xx, and examples are configured by default for MSP430F5528/5529 with 4MHz XT2. 5528 and 5529 are identical devices in different package. If memory size is not a problem, all this USB examples can be executed on same powerful MSP430F5510 that is half priced than 5529. Don't know about newer TI MCU series, but this (HID&CDC) exists on any micro with USB hardware module.
