Tool/software:

TimerA is running on SMCLK (16MHz), but when I check TimerA's Timer CLK it is 8MHz.
There is no division, so why does it become 1/2?

The fastest signal you can get from TimerA is (clock/2) since it takes 1 input clock to produce each output edge.
