For gas meter, we recommend to use multi tone mode. 

And can you provide the ADC capture page on the USS GUI. It could help us to best understand what signal you are receiving at this stage. 

If you are not getting a good ADC capture signal, please refer to this guide first to tune the parameters and get a better ADC capture signal.

The ADC capture does not look good. The noise is almost at the same level of the signal. 

And are you only use one transducer in your application? The sound wave is excited and received by this transducer? I would not recommend to use only one transducer. The reflective material will absorb the signal and make it hard to receive the signal.

Sorry, does not mean to click the last post as an answer. 

I would recommend you to use a proper pipe first. The gas pipe calibration box does not look as a proper gas meter pipe from my side. And since you are using only one transducer for excitation and receive. A proper reflective surface is necessary in this use case. Otherwise the receive signal after reflected will be much worse.
