Complete newbie here...

I've received my 'Launchpad Kit (MSP-EXP430E2GT ?), and reading the User's Guide (SLAU772A–June 2018–Revised March 2020). It seems to offer two choices for getting started: CC Studio or IAR EW. However, as my computer is a Mac - it seems like only Windows is supported by IAR. Is that correct - or have I missed something??

I see no way to edit my post, so I'll add this in a new comment: The card in my Kit directed me to "ti.com/G2ET" - but all that got me was an "ERROR 404" ?!?!

Go for TI's CC Studio. Make sure to get the MSP430 support.

I'm not sure IAR's capabilities but I do believe CCS is available for macOS. https://www.ti.com/tool/CCSTUDIO

Also, I'm sorry about the ti.com/g2ET link not working. I'm not sure exactly where it used to point and I'll notify the web team, but here are some resources:

I'm not hung up on IAR at all & happy to try CCS. So - OK, let's do a reset :)

I've managed to find & install the "cloud" version of CCSTUDIO (?). I've got the G2ET connected to my Mac, and I've got the Out-ofBox Demo loaded in a tab in my browser (dev.ti.com/.../). I've read the README, figured out I needed to change the UART (port), and pressed S1.

At this point, the graph went "live", and it appears I am measuring the temperature of something on the G2ET board! Hooray - 1st step was successful!

Now, I'm trying to compile the 'main.c' program from Blink LED at this page: (dev.ti.com/.../default, but not having as much luck. I've navigated to the Blink LED demo, and got the main.c source loaded in a tab, clicked the 'Build' menu. That *appeared* to be successful, but I can find no way to load the program I (thought I) just built??

What's my next move?

And "By the way"... Why can NOTHING from the TI CCSTUDIO website be copied - so I can paste it here???
