how to use LPM4.5 mode for MSP430F5438A

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F5438A

Hi,

We are using MSP430F5438A for this project.

We need to wake-up this micom chip through sensor, so we would like to open some specific ports, and then we will try to use LPM4.5 mode for sleep mode.

But, unfortunately we do not know exactly how to open some specific ports before go into LPM4.5 mode.

Therefore, could you kindly explain to me how to use LPM4.5 mode?

Or, if you have any document or manual, could you offer us for this problem?

Thank you.

  • Hi,

For information about the usage of the MSP430F5438A and especially the LPM4.5 mode, I suggest to look into the User Guide for the MSP430x5xx family. You can find it under the following link: www.ti.com/.../MSP430F5438A

In the documentation you can find all the LPM modes the MSP430 offers. Maybe for your application another LPM mode fits better.
When you use the LPM4.5 mode, you have to consider that when you wake up the MSP, it executes a reset.

Can you be more specific about the usage of the MSP in your application?

    Best Regards,
    Manuel
