MSP430I2041: ROSC value when AVSS connected to -2.5V

Part Number: MSP430I2041

Tool/software:

MSP430 datasheet said, Connect recommended resistor between ROSC and AVSS for DCO operation in external resistor mode. Connect ROSC to AVSS while operating DCO in internal resistor mode.

Now I am using internal resistor mode, so I connect ROSC to AVSS via 0R resistor to be in line with this recommendation.

But I found another word in the datasheet,  Do not apply external DC loading or voltage at ROSC.

Because in my design, AVSS is connceted to -2.5V to allow the measurement range from -2.5v to 2.5v. in this case, ROSC is applied a -2.5V on itself.

is it wrong?

on my board, I found the -2.5V power current is higher than my expecatation. is it because of this connection?
