Error initializing emulator: Could not initialize device interface

Hello everyone,

I'm having an issue with my MSP430 Launchpad. Whenever I attempt to load code to the device (Any G2xxx uC) it fails with the Error message: "Error initializing emulator:

Could not initialize device interface"

 

I am using CCS 4.2.4.00033 on a machine running Windows 7 64 bit.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

    this version is supported in windows 7. so no problem at all but you have to check your emulator drivers whether it is properly installed or not. check the drivers latest version.

     I refused to update to win7 due to problem that arose from SP3 on XP damaging some peripheral still present on win7.
