I am using the MSP430FR6043 for a water meter application.The following site states that it also supports legacy computation methods known "Water method" and "Gas method (This method has been renamed to “Estimation”)". What algorithms do the water method and the gas method use, respectively? Additionally, what settings are required to use the water method and the gas method?

Hi,

You can find more information about both methods in the Reference Guides' Design guide document in the MSP430FR6043. The TIDM-02003 handles gas measuring (using a Hilbert-based algorithm), and the TIDM-02005 handles water measuring (using the Lobe algorithm.)
