Part Number: MSP430F5529
Tool/software:
I have successfully completed a prototype using the TI MSP430F5529 LaunchPad.
But before an initial PCB run I wanted to prototype the hardware exactly as will be implemented in the final design.
As the LaunchPad has additional hardware, I wanted to be sure none of this is needed or influencing my final design.
So I built a new breadboard as pictured below.
However I now have intermittent startup problems. I have read in the TI hardware guide that the RST pin is sensitive to stray capacitance. I am using the recommended 47K / 1000pf reset components with the Biwire programming interface.
Looking at my test board, do you experts think that is the problem here due to the excessive IC pin lead length? If so, I think I can ignore it as the final design is a tight layout?
