MSP430FR5969: I want to disable the VCC pin on MSP430FR5969 when in sleep mode(LPM 4)

The Vcc pin is how power gets into the MSP430. It isn't an output.

I am talking about the one that's with the GPIO pins, there is another provided for external power supply.

So you failed to mention you were talking about the launchpad. I also have to assume that you didn't bother to look at the schematic in the launchpad user guide.

I looked at the schematic and I see that the VCC is not connected to the MCU, does that mean there is no way to control the VCC pin via software cause the only option left is using a MOSFET to control the VCC output. Your feedback will be much appreciated if you could suggest some solution where no external hardware is required.

Thank you David! I wanted to turn ON a REYAX RYLR890 Lora module for seconds and GPIO can't do this job because it has its own current requirements.

I can use the GPIO but the GPIO pins cannot provide enough current to run it. I have already tried it. I then tried using the transistor, It works but the power output(voltage) drops cause of the transistor.
