Not quite.

I can set the workspace to the proper directory as I need to.

When I try to import a sample program from the resource explorer however,  it absolutely insists on placing it in my home directory, without giving me a way to put it in the right place.   Is there a way (or a configuration parameter) to set the target directory of where the resource explorer puts things?

Hi David,
I recommend importing the project through your regular workspace and then moving it to whatever directory you want the project to be in. I don't think there is an option to change where projects are imported aside from your current workspace.

But I have CCS2001 all installed on the target drive.  When I create a new project it is created in the right place, on the target drive.  Its just where Resource Explorer insists on putting stuff.

I would think that this would be an easy thing.....  Guess not.

The software team confirmed that the only way to change where Resource Explorer creates projects is by changing the workspace.

Sorry to tell you this, but when I go into Resource Explorer and get one of the examples, it stores it in $(HOME)/ti regardless of where I have the workspace pointed to.

My workspace is at ${DATA)/ti/workspaces, and if I create a new project, that's where it goes.  Thats good, that's where I want it.  However, Resource Explorer doesn't do the same.  The space I have on my ${HOME} directory is limited, and is not archived anywhere.  The ${DATA} space is pretty much unlimited, and is backed up every day.

I see. In that case, I would either reinstall CCS and see if this solves this issue or manually move the project you get from Resource Explorer from Home to your desired workspace. Sadly, there is no option to change where Resource Explorer creates a project. By default, it should go towards the workspace you are using.
