At least if you're master. If you're slave, things are more difficult (because of the tight timing requirements expected from a slave by other masters)

I didn't mention any code. :) No, I cannot give mine away as it belongs to my employer. But IIRC there has been code posted in this forum too (and corrected into a workign shape by forum members).

However, SPI is a simple bi-directional shift. Nothing special.
Set output pin, pull the clock, read input pin, release the clock, 8 times per byte. The hardware SPI doesn't do much more. Baudrate is no issue (as you provide the clock).
