EVM430-FR6047: Inquiry Regarding Firmware Programming for Custom EVM430FR6047-Based Circuit Board

Part Number: EVM430-FR6047
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F5528, MSP430FR6047, MSP430F5529, UNIFLASH

Tool/software:

Dear All,

I am currently designing a custom circuit board based on the EVM430FR6047 reference schematic. I have observed that the evaluation board incorporates three ICs: the MSP430FR6047 as the main controller, along with two MSP430F5528 chips—one for EZFET debugging and another serving as an HID bridge.

To streamline our implementation, I have consolidated the EZFET debugger and HID bridge functionalities onto a separate board, substituting the MSP430F5528 with an MSP430F5529.

My questions are as follows:

  1. Which specific firmware should be programmed onto these two chips to enable the EZFET debugging and HID bridge functionalities?
  2. In my circuit design, I have allocated dedicated JTAG interfaces for each of these two chips. Once the appropriate firmware is identified, would it be feasible to program them directly via JTAG?

Kindly advise on the recommended procedure.
