LP-MSPM0G3507: MSPM0-CALC for SPI

Part Number: LP-MSPM0G3507

Tool/software:

Hi Team,

How to estimate the power for SPI in controller mode using the MSPM0-CALC tool?

Also, I have 7 GPIO's how do I estimate the power for each?

Best Regards,

Madhurya

  • Hi Madhurya,

For the MSPM0-CALC tool make sure you have the macros enabled. On the top left set the MCLK source and frequency, then you can enable the SPI0 peripheral and select controller mode and the frequency you're intending to use.

Are you driving any signals or pins through the GPIOs? Your current draw will be depending on the resistance of the path, the IOs will supply voltage up to the VDD of the device. The CALC tool doesn't have the GPIOs fully finished but you can do the estimated power draw using I = V/R or P = V^2/R
