MSP430F5528: The issue of the chip's burning program

Part Number: MSP430F5528

Tool/software:

Programs can be burned on the development board now, but they cannot be burned on the board we developed ourselves. The board for research and development and sampling uses the MSP430F5528 chip. It is also burned in the SBW mode. The error message shows that the chip cannot be found. The silk-screen suffix of the chip is TI 06J K.

May I ask if the batch of chips will affect the burning process? If not, what could be the problem? And how to solve it?

  • Hi,

I do not think a batch of chip would all have this issue. And before the chips leave the manufactory there will be a function test on those chips. It will not release to market if it has any issues reported from the tests.

If all the chips could not be programmed, I would suggest to check where did you buy this chips. Is it coming from TI or an authorized dealer.

    Best regards,

    Cash Hao
