To my understating, the difference between MSP430FR6047IPZ and MSP430FR6047IPZR lies in the packaging format — specifically, how the chip is supplied, not in the electrical or functional performance of the device. Am i right?

But If I am correct then why their prices are so different?

Yes, that’s correct.”R” is designated for Tape and Reel and “no R” is for Tray packaging. There is no difference in the Electrical Specs and/or functional Performance

The tray packaging is not preferred and not used by many customers, hence the price difference.
