MSP430FR6043: Quick exit from low-power mode issue

When I call __bis_SR_register (LPM3_bits | GIE) in the UltrasonicGasFR6043_02_30_00_01 routine to enter the low power consumption mode, the program always exits the low power consumption mode quickly. Is it because the routine enables other timer interrupts? But I couldn't find any initialization of other timers in the program.

Hi,

Timer_A1 is used as background timer, to generate USS crystal/resonator settling times and to enable transitions to LPM3 during low power captures. For other resources used in this demo project. Please check in this link.

At present, it seems that the frequent wake-up of PM3 is caused by the Timer_A1 interrupt. In theory, the Timer_A1 timer can be turned off to reduce power consumption when ultrasound testing is not performed. Where do I need to turn it off?

Hi,

You can check if you have called USS_waitForAppTimerElapse() or related functions in your code. These APIs enable timer for a delay event. You can block those functions first and check.

I checked the code and found that all calls to USS-waitForAppTimerLapse() have been blocked, but the program still keeps exiting PM3 mode, or perhaps there are other interrupts waking up the MCU. Is there any way to check the reason for MCU wake-up?

Hi,

Well, there is one way to check. You can check each module registers in debug mode and you will know which module has been enabled interrupt. This way could give you a hint which module keeps waking MCU up.
