MSP430FR6047: MCU018

Part Number: MSP430FR6047

Tool/software:

Hi,

I am using the TI board with MSP430FR6047 and with flow tube connected to it. The issue is when reference meter is reading constant flow rate say for example 500LPH or 0LPH. TI board is reading 480 LPH fine enough but in between for couple of seconds it starts reading around 10000 LPH. When after analyzing all the parameters it was observed that ADC samples itself has this much of phase shift.

What may be possible reason?

Thanks,

Anup Kumar

  • Hi Kumar,

Let me check with our USS expert and get feedback to you.

  • Hi Anup,

"ADC samples itself has this much of phase shift." Do you have any ADC capture data to share here with the good ones and bad ones? You can also share the waveform data in GUI when you observe this issue. It would help us to understand more about your issue.

    Best regards,

    Cash Hao

  • Hi Hao,

Here is the data, The reference flow was Zero LPH but we were getting the 10000 LPH. I have attached the ADC samples.

    Regards,

  • Hi,

I am not sure what causes the change on the ADC capture data. But I would suggest to use a lower Gain setting like -6.5dB and a lower number of excitation pulses first like 12 pulses. Then check if you still observe the issue.

    Best regards,

    Cash Hao

  • Thanks for your reply,

Currently I was using 25 pulses, gain 1 dB, sampling freq = 4Mhz, Capture duration 40 micro sec. Transmit freq = 1Mhz. UPS & DNS gap 3000 micro sec, UPS0 & UPS1 gap 1000 milli sec.

Now I will test with the settings you have mentioned.

This issue is random, sometimes doesn't occur for whole day but sometimes it is very frequent.

    Regards,

    Anup Kumar.
