Is it correct that the GPIOs configured as open drain outputs but only as push-pull type outputs?

Hi,

Sorry, I'm a little bit confused about the question. If the IO port is an open-drain structure, it cannot be configured as a push-pull output.

I don't know of any MSP430 that provides open-drain outputs.

You can get some of the effects by switching on-the-fly between output and input. (That's how software I2C is done.)
