MSP430F6749A: 24Bit ADC Full scale range

Part Number: MSP430F6749A

Tool/software:

HI,

I'm using the 24Bit sigma delta ADC peripheral on MSP430,

I'm using the internal reference (measured at 1.159V).

The OVR is  256 (default) ,

Right aligned

Data format is binary (as appose to 2s compliment).

The ADC is used as single ended so the negative terminal is connected to 0V

The problem I have that when I input a voltage of 1.2V into one of the ADC's channel I don't get the full scale output, I only get it (i.e 0xFF FFFF) when I input a voltage of about 1.6V! so the ADC only saturates at input voltage way beyond the reference voltage.
