I want to use this board to develop a spirometer to measure human lungs's peak expiratory volume and other breathing parameters. Here, flow resolution of minimum 5 ml/sec is required. Will it be possible?

Hi,
5ml/sec equals 18L/h. It looks possible since for a residential gas meter the minimum flow rate can be around 12L/h. The issue for a spirometer from my point would be the pipe design.

Can you please elaborate more on the pipe design aspects or point me to appropriate resources which can help me to optimize the pipe design aspects to get the desired sensitivity.
Hi,
We do not have much experience on the spirometer application. I suppose the pipe design is similar to the gas meter. You may need to control the humidity of the air. Put a sponge on the blower side would help. And the flow rate calibration with temperature would also need a lot of effort.
