MSP430F5659: LaunchPad with a DAC

Part Number: MSP430F5659

Tool/software:

The MSP430F5659 includes two 12-bit digital-to-analog converters (DACs) with synchronization. The MSP-EXP430F5529 LaunchPad, which is the development device I would like to use, does not include a DAC. Is there another LaunchPad I should consider that would match all the features found in the MSP430F5659 for breadboard testing?

    We don't have EVM board for F5659 evaluation, you can try use socket board:MSP-TS430PZ100USB

    I have 2 points of concern:

    1. The F5659 board is not on the supported board list for the MSP-TS430PZ100USB socket board

    2. The MSP-TS430PZ100USB socket board is currently out of stock as of 9/3/2025. 3rd party sites like Digikey show that the product is not manufactured anymore.

    Seems like I'm out of luck given that there seems to be no LaunchPad option with a comparable DAC to the F5659...

    Hi Jason,

    MSP-TS430PZ100USB this can support F66xx series, and keep same pinmap with F5659. I checked website, it does not available.....

    We don't have suitable EVM board for this part, maybe need design by yourself.....
