EVM430-FR6043:Measurement Drift with EVM430-FR6043 After Long Hours at Low Flow Rate

Part Number: EVM430-FR6043

Tool/software:

Hello everyone,

I am working with the EVM430-FR6043 board configured to generate one pulse per liter, which I use in a metrological test bench with a sonic nozzle.

During calibration at a low flow rate (around 15.6 L/h), I observed the following behavior:

  • At the beginning of the measurement, the accuracy is excellent.

  • After several hours of continuous operation (around 8 hours), the reading gradually increases to approximately 15.98 L/h.

However, when debugging with the USS software, I noticed that the delta ToF remains constant, exactly as it was at the start of the test. This leads me to believe that the issue might be related to the oscillator responsible for waking up the processor every 100 ms, which seems to lose accuracy over time.

Has anyone here faced a similar issue with this board, or have any suggestions on how to correct/compensate for this measurement drift?

  • Hi,

The background timer should be sourced from LFXT. The drift on this LFXT should be very small.

I would recommend to toggle one GPIO pin in this background timer routine, then measure the signal to check if the time period is accurate.

    Best regards,

    Cash Hao
