Hi,

I'm having trouble trying to use MSP Zero Code Studio's ADC as an input into a comparator (to be clear, in the screenshot below dout is not connected to din A, but I want it to be). I want to compare the value read from the ADC to a set integer value and do something based on that information. I saw a similar thread where the output of a GPIO read could not be used with a comparator, is there any way to make this work?

Hi Noah,

Currently the output of the ADC Read block is a string which is incompatible with the comparator block. The software team is working on adding data type compatibility for many of the blocks, but there is not a set time for this to be added.

Hi Brian,

Understood, thank you. Just as a suggestion, the team may want to change the MSP Zero Code Studio User Guide to show the ADC block output as a string. It currently says the output is an integer:
