Hi,

I'm trying to write/erase/read data to the FRAM of an MSP430FR2476, and am referring to the following document:

SLAU320AJ: User's Guide: MSP430 Programming With the JTAG Interface

In the above document, can I replace the term "Flash Memory" with "FRAM"?

For example, can I understand that section "2.3.4 Programming the Flash Memory (Using the Onboard Flash Controller)" is referring to programming FRAM?

    Hi Toru,

    In general, flash memory and FRAM are not synonymous. However, functionally, in terms of JTAG programming, they are treated the "same."

    So yes, for section 2.3.4 you can refer to flash memory as FRAM.
