MSP430F2013 ADC external Vref

Hi

 

What is the maxiumum external Vref that I can give to my Vref for MSP430F2013. I see the FSR as (Vref/2)/ PGA which mean i can acheive a max FSR of 0.6V only with internal . I need a Unipolar ADC so can i give a Vref less than 3.3V or AVcc and take pGA=1 so can get the max FSR something close to 1.5V atleast

    From MSP430F2013 datasheet:

    Parameter test conditions VCC MIN TYP MAX Unit
    Vref input voltage range SD16REFON=0 3V 1.0 1.25 1.5 V

    Howeve, if you tie the negative input to Vref/2, then you'll get +- VRef/2 relative to Vref/2, so if you add VRef/2 to the result, you'll get 0..Vref as input range. :)
