Hi all ,

I am trying to update my existing MODBUS -RTU communication to MODBUS-TCP commincation on 5438.

Opposite end is Host PC , so should i require a special ethernet controller to be connected with 5438 or using FL-com server will work ?

Please focus some light on using 5438 for TCP .

i am trying to implement MODBUS communication to my MSP430F2618 controller. do you have any sample code for this mod bus communication.

Hi, modbus is fully documented HERE

I remember when I implemented a long time ago TCP encapsulate a complete frame on a single packet and no more than half a day was needed to wrote code.

Full free simulator and tester are available on link I posted and probably sample code are available too.

Note that using the full part number - MSP430F5438 - gives you a clickable link to the Product Page.

With 256KB Flash & 16KB RAM, it should be possible to use something like uIP...
