cannot install MSP430UIF driver

hello, i am trying to install MSP430-FET430-UIF Drivers from this link, http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php?title=MSP430_JTAG_Interface_USB_Driver howver, the driver installation fails, i also tried using other USB ports just to make sure if the USB port has an issue... but its not...

i am having windows xp 32 bit OS

    The necessary low-level drivers for the MSP-FET430UIF are already included with the latest Code Composer Studio or IAR Embedded Workbench IDEs and get installed automatically.

    Hi,

    I am facing the same issue. I installed ccsv4 from the cd i got along with the debugger interface. I also tried updating the driver but it says that the system already has the latest driver. Could someone guide me here please? windows 7 64bit system

    I have IAR 5.51 installed and it does not detect my MSP-FET430-UIF automatically...

    I went looking for it on the drive.. C:\Program Files\IAR Systems\Embedded Workbench 6.4_3\430\drivers\TIUSBFET  , and this path is empty

    Giving device manager the following PATH : C:\Program Files\IAR Systems\Embedded Workbench 6.4\430\drivers\TIUSBFET\XP32

    is also without succes...

    Downloading the latest IAR and pointing device manager to the downloaded drivers directory didn't help either... (running DPINST.exe wasn't helpful either)

    Eureka! :  Select the device manual as "Ports (com & lpt)" then select the "MSP430" and the device showed up as an "MSP430 Application UART" instead of the annoying MSP-FET430-UIF which driver could not be found...

    but when trying to download with IAR:

    Wed Feb 13, 2013 11:10:18: Using license: Standalone license - IAR Embedded Workbench for Texas Instruments MSP430 5.51
    Wed Feb 13, 2013 11:10:19: Could not find MSP-FET430UIF on specified COM port
    Wed Feb 13, 2013 11:10:20: Fatal error: Failed to initialize device. Session aborted!
    Wed Feb 13, 2013 11:10:20: Warning: Can not write to read only memory.

    Any idea?

    Hi,

    I´ve installed CCS4 in a window 7 32 bits and the pc did not recognize the MSP430-FET403UIF as VCP, and I can´t load any program.

    I´he probed the drivers:

    • C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\ccsv4\DebugServer\drivers
    • C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\ccsv4\emulation\drivers\msp430\USB_FET_Win7_32
