MSP430FR2433: ADC questions

Hello MSP-Apps team, 

 

I have a few questions to the ADC of the MSP430FR2433: 

  • Which Reference voltages can be selected? 
  • When providing the 1.2V of Vref to an external Pin is there an (see user manual 1.12.1.3 or picture below) is there any extra voltage drop e.g. due to the output buffer? If so, what is the voltage drop which might accure here?  ADC.png
  • Can you tell me the ENOBs which are achiveable with this ADC?

    Hi Marinus,

    • The MSP430FR2433 has a built-in 1.2V reference voltage:

      You can also supply an external reference voltage.
    • In the screenshot above, the MIN value of VREF was measured to be 1.15V over recommended ranges of supply voltage and operating free-air temperature with EXTREFEN = 1 and a 1-mA load current.
    • We do not have a specification for ENOB, however the datasheet provides linearity parameters:
